MY HEALING JOURNEY
Hi! I’m Kelsi, a lifelong Montanan with a big heart and old soul who loves to question reality and rebel against the status quo (it’s all that Aquarius in me). I’m the woman behind Medicine Hive—the creation that allows me to follow my dharma, my deeply felt sense of purpose.
I’ve always gravitated toward wanting to help people be healthy, happy, and empowered. I realized in my early twenties that if I want to help people be like that, I have to learn how to be like that. I have to do the work to heal myself and truly embody the wisdom that comes from doing that work.
My healing journey began in my early twenties when I started suffering from significant fatigue, dry skin and hair, cold body, and feeling anxious, depressed and just not inspired or happy with life. After many expensive tests and doctors visits and no real answers, I finally found a Naturopath who diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an “autoimmune” condition that affects the thyroid gland. In addition to that, I was dealing with digestive issues, hormonal issues, impaired detox pathways, a toxic relationship and unfulfilling work. With my doctor’s guidance and my strong desire to learn and experiment with things on myself, I finally started to understand how to live a healthy life—one in which I avoid toxic substances, situations, and people as much as possible; and I nourish this amazing human form with clean, whole food, pure water, sunshine, fresh air, rest, and lots of self-love.
Through my own personal healing journey, I’ve been able to:
My personal healing journey has led me to many healing modalities and I’ve combined them into an approach that works for me and I know will help others. Read more about my healing philosophy here.
I believe healing is a lifelong endeavor so I don’t claim to be healed and done with it. I’m constantly moving through the ebbs and flows of life—sometimes I’m feeling amazing and then I lose the balance and my body gets my attention by sending me messages via the return of symptoms I’ve worked so hard to resolve. I’ve come to realize healing isn’t a linear process, it’s more like a spiral. I keep coming back to some of the same issues but each time I find more clarity and make more progress. I’m able to look back at how far I’ve come and feel so proud of the work I’ve done and know with certainty that anyone else can do it too if they decide to dedicate themselves to doing the work to be the healthiest, happiest version of themselves they can be.

Through my own personal healing journey, I’ve been able to:
- fix digestive issues (as many ancient healing traditions understand, the root of all disease begins in the gut)
- support my body in ridding itself of toxins/waste products (physically, energetically, environmentally)
- heal autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s)
- balance hormones & restore healthy menstruation
- reduce stress & improve my mental & emotional wellbeing
- maintain a healthy weight without strict diet & exercise plans
- free myself from debt & implement a more minimalist, natural, zero-waste approach to material things, which has improved my home environment as well as my mental health, & reduced my negative impact on Earth
- reconnect with Nature & the way of intuitively communicating with all of life
- uncover more of who I really am & what I’m here to do & find work that aligns with that
- learn to truly love myself & show up more authentically
- build relationships with people who are also focused on their personal healing & growth
- consciously design a lifestyle that is filled with less of the things that bring me down & more of the things that nourish me & bring me joy!
